libreria di colori
Welcome to the Libreria di Colori (Library of Colours).
The idea behind the Library is to one day have a large-scale space to exhibit a wall of colour on a grand scale. The wall would change from week to week exhibiting a different colour on the wall chosen by the library visitors, and painted by our team of expert colour technicians. The library would be open 24 hrs a day every day of the year and allow visitors to sit and contemplate a particular chosen colour. Developed for the residency for Brian Eno’s 77 Million Paintings as part of the 2010 Brighton Festival, the Library of colours allows participants to choose a colour, rename it and have the opportunity to have their colour recorded and exhibited in the Library. Part interactive installation, part experiment this as ongoing project looking into psychological colour choices and the language used to define those colours.
